Two Tree Horrors: B&W Witches Buried Beneath Tree; Mad Scientist Makes Killer Tree

Unless I missed something in my search of your wonderful archives, I cannot find either of the two very old movies I am looking for.

One of them is in black and white and is about a father/daughter pair of witches buried beneath a tree, and then released when lightening strikes the tree. I am not referring to the comedy film.

The second one I recall watching only once in 1976 on TV late night so it must be older than that. A mad scientist makes a single (I think) killer tree. The tree never moves from its spot but I do recall a tropical setting with pink flowers that may or may not have been a part of the tree itself.
