Mike,

You make a good point which is the main reason why I suggest trying it out on someone else first. That way you are not out anything if it doesn't work and you can rethink the situation.

to use the example of "shaun of the dead", the smell had nothing to do with the cast being caught out.

its all about the sound. while you make a valid point that would work well with animals, i cannot think of any film where the zombies have been fooled by smell (please correct me if im wrong)

my point is that sound is a far more important sense for zombies, (the phocall/argument),and i feel that if the acting like a zombie is good enough then smell is really not needed.
