Wild West Great Grandfather Comes Back From the Dead To Help Fight Evil Spirits

Trying to remember the name of a cheesy 80's movie that may or may not have had Emilio Estevez in it.

The film takes place in a large house where the main characer's great grandfather comes back to life to help him fight off this other guy who has come back from the dead.

Different rooms in the house lead to a parallel universe and the great grandfather is 'wild, wild west' like. There is also a little white dog-like creature. I believe they are trying to protect someone or something.

Any help would with the title would be greatly appreciated.
