Could be 'The House That Dripped Blood'

There's a 1971 British horror film with three or four seperate stories called The House That Dripped Blood that may include this one. I had no idea there was a movie. I heard a different version in 1993 here in the States, called Hangman, and in that one a girl is home alone and her dog periodically licks her hand. In the middle of the night, she gets up to go to the bathroom and the dog licks her hand again. She doesn't put the lights on until she's in the bathroom, and she finds her dog skinned and hanging from the showerhead, and the words 'Maniac Lick Too' written on the mirror or shower wall in the dog's blood. She looks down and sees a man kneeling at her side like a dog.

No closer to a title..

It could well have been part of a late night series. I'm pretty sure it's from the early 90's but not 100%. Was it British? Hmm...I can't recall accents but I seem to remember a UK 'feel' to the film stock (if you know what I mean). I don't think it was a feature length film, so it probably was part of a compilation. Driving me nuts.

...recall if this was part of a compilation? It sounds so familier to me. I will investigate further.
