World War Z and a Few Others...

Hi Zombie Master,
Okay, so I have read World War Z and fell in love with the book. I am also very excited to see the soon-to-be movie. My question is, are you a bit skeptical about the book-gone-movie?
Also, I am in need of a good zombie movie. I have seen Land of the Dead, Dawn of the Dead (2004), 28 Days/Weeks Later; and some lame ones like House of the Dead, some stupid one which I could care less what the title is. And I have seen other ones that I can't think of. Please recommend a few good zombie flicks.

Skye,
I too am a big fan of WWZ. Max Brooks is a true fan of the genre and it shows. As far as the movie goes, yes I am a lot skeptical. I have witnessed a many zombie movie go to the toilet because of talentless hacks that wouldn't know how to produce a good film if Romero himself handed them the script. Other than that I too am looking forward to it.
As far as a good zombie movie, where do I start? I notice that your list consists of more modern fare so I would recommend the early Romero (Night of the Living Dead (b/w), Dawn of the Dead and Day of the Dead), Fulci (Zombie, the 7 gates trilogy) and Grau (Let Sleeping Corpses Lie). These will get you started on a ride through zombie cinema that you will not soon put the brakes on.
Good hunting and aim high,
The Zombie Master
