Zombie Film On My Mind...

Me, halloween in the young years as Ash of Evil Dead

Hello Zombie Master,

Alright, I was thinking along the lines of tackling my first zombie film. Me and some friends invest our money and makes movies all the time. Since this is my first attempt at "zombie" I was thinking this:

It's a movie about making a zombie movie-
Sam Raimi got his idea from actually getting hold of a rare copy of a necronomican made at the same time as the original. His original script and the character make-up are going just horribly. in desperation Sam Raimi tricks Bruce Campbell into a private "rehearsal" with the "prop" necronomican. He intentionally releases the evil upon the actors. Thus making the actors actual zombies instead of actors in make-up. So now his original script is pretty much thrown out except for the basic idea of the movie. He is forced to go along with whatever the evil dead actors come up with. Every night after shooting the "actors" are locked up in the cellar for safe keeping. At the end of the film Bruce is forced to throw Sam's treasured Necronomican into the fire killing off the evil dead. When the zombies are done for Bruce flips out on Sam screaming

"How could you just let them try to kill me?! You knew it was real!"
"It was a once in a lifetime shot!! and what are the chances you'll continue your movie career anyway? You would've been a small sacrifice to my masterpiece. And who are you to be mad? You destroyed possibly one of the most important artifacts in history!"
"Sam! I could have Died! I'll never forgive you!"
"Alright,Alright I'm sorry. What if I promised you a spot in every single one of my future movies? Would that help?"
"Deal."


It's very stupid if you're not a fan of Evil Dead, Bruce Campbell, or Sam Raimi because you wouldn't get most (if not all) of the movie. But I was just wondering if this would piss off a zombie fan or anything, idk why. And if this idea doesn't quite work I was thinking maybe Night of the Living Dead on the same idea...but idk any black people to play the main man.

Not a bad idea. It is reminiscent of "Wes Craven's New Nightmare". I would however stay away from already known movies and create one of your own. Pay homage to the former greats and all zombie fans will acknowledge the reference.
