Zombie Oral Health

Zombie Master,

If Romero style zombies are so weak and lumbering how do they have the strength to tear raw human flesh off the bone?

It seems to me that if the rest of a zombie's body has decomposed to a near jell-o like consistency their jaw muscles would have to do the same making it extremely difficult if not impossible to separate skin, muscle, tendon. not to mention their teeth should be falling out.

Aaron,

A couple of problems with your analysis:

1. Although the Romero zombies are lumbering, that does not denote weakness, just easy to out maneuver.

2. If the zombie's bodies had "decomposed to a near jell-o like substance" they would not even be able to lumber.

3. I like to eat. I like to eat a lot. So much so that even if my teeth fell out I would be gumming that nice juicy steak and fully loaded baked potato (great, now I'm hungry again). I can only imagine how strong the urge is when there is nothing left to do.

It is good to think through problems like this but don't think yourself out of a good head shot when you have the opportunity.

Good hunting and aim high,

The Zombie Master
